Unlike "cookbook" programs this piece of software is as flexible as the mind of it's user. It was not designed to be "the answer" to training but rather a tool to enhance the trainer's/coach's artistic and scientific abilities. It is important for you as the coach to understand that this program will only be as effective as the input you provide. The better quality time you spend in setting up the components on the terminology screen and modules in the 'Modules' file before you create your files, the more productive this software will become. TrainingDesign Pro was created for the purpose of serving individual needs of groups of athletes. The versatility of the program makes it an ideal tool for not only coaches of all sports, but Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Doctors, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, and Personal Trainers. The concept of "Training Demand" will appear throughout the text of the manual. Training Demand is a subjective index from 1-10 (low to high) indicating the level of training stress for a particular activity. It could be thought of as a combination of volume stress and intensity stress due to training. This index is always input by you the coach and is a means of planning the training load so as to insure for periods of restoration as well as stress in the training plan.
